A comprehensive excursion for higher education seekers of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, specialty 081 “Law” was held in the Supreme Court. Its aim was to ensure the practical component of the educational process and to consolidate the learners’ theoretical knowledge.
Together with head of the department of Civil, Labor and Social Security Law, Tatiana Koliesnik, the young people visited the Civil Court of Cassation and the representative building of the Supreme Court (Klovskyi Palace).
The higher education seekers saw the meeting hall of judges, the hall of court sessions, got acquainted with the activities of the Supreme Court’s structural units. They met with Maksym Tytov, a judge of the Supreme Court in the Civil Court of Cassation, who told them about the work of a judge of the Supreme Court, and also answered all the questions that interested the guests. Those present visited the Supreme Court museum, the interiors of the Plenum Hall, the Hall of Court Sessions and the conference hall. The young people got acquainted with the structure of the Supreme Court, the activities of the Grand Chamber and the relevant cassation courts.
The DonSUIA team thanks head of the Supreme Court’s staff Viktor Kapustynskyi, a judge of the Civil Court of Cassation in the Supreme Court Yevhen Petrov, and chief specialist of the Supreme Court’s communications department Iryna Ivanchenko, for organizing an interesting excursion and the opportunity to cooperate in training highly qualified specialists in the field of jurisprudence.
