The role of communication skills in the activities of lawyers, the importance of motivation in a person’s life, the ability to put oneself in somebody’s shoes were discussed by the participants of the public oratory workshop.
Associate professors of the department of social and humanitarian disciplines, Oksana Chornous and Natalia Tsumarieva, acquainted higher education seekers of the Faculty of Law, Management and Economic Security with the best examples of public speeches. They worked with the future specialists of the legal field on the main techniques of influencing the audience, practiced the ability to persuade and present their opinions in a reasoned manner.
The students were offered to consolidate the acquired theoretical knowledge about verbal and non-verbal means of rhetoric during a role-playing game “Deserted Island”. According to its terms, the passengers of the ship, which had an accident, had to use all methods of communication in order to save their own lives.
The participants of the co-working “It is possible to change the world: start with yourself…” emphasized the importance of a high-quality dialogue in everyday life and professional activities in particular.
