The concept of conflict and its main elements, management styles and methods of constructive work on misunderstandings were outlined by Lars Gronlund, a trainer-counselor on police-community interaction of the EUAM, during the “Communication and conflict de-escalation” webinar.
The cadets considered the model and stages of conflict development. They learned about its sides and methods of de-escalation. The speaker paid attention to the triangle of conflict – attitude, behavior and circumstances/contradictions. Lars Gronlund defined the recautions the police officers should use when resolving misunderstandings.
