A round table dedicated to training inspectors of the Educational Security Service as one of the key areas of forming a protected educational environment for children was held at the Mariupol Center for Initial Professional Training «Police Academy» of the DonSUIA.
The following joined a professional discussion: administration of the MCIPT «Police Academy» of the DonSUIA, the «Educational Security Service» of the Main Office of the National Police in the Kirovohrad region, the «Educational Security Service» unit of the Patrol Police Department in the Kirovohrad region , as well as representatives of juvenile prevention, the Department of Psychology, Sociology and Pedagogy of the DonSUIA, public and charitable organizations and students of the MCIPT «Police Academy» of the DonSUIA.

The Academy’s director, Illia Merkulov, addressed the audience with an introductory speech, emphasizing that high-quality training for a ESS inspector goes far beyond basic police skills and requires deep psychological understanding, preventive thinking and the ability to build trust with a child.

A practical focus of the event was presentation of the guide «Suitcase of Trust», developed by lecturer of a professional and theoretical training cycle of the Academy, crisis psychologist Andrii Fomenko in cooperation with the «Safe Future» Foundation. This tool is designed to provide officers of the Educational Security Service with effective algorithms for daily work, help quickly establish contact with students, strengthen communication and professionally shape the atmosphere of security in educational institutions.
The participants paid special attention to current challenges of the modern educational space – preventing bullying, countering verbal aggression on the Internet, preserving the psychological health of children and creating safe learning conditions under martial law.
As a result of the roundtable discussion a common understanding was shaped that the efficiency of the Educational Security Service is ensured not only by professional training of inspectors, but also by systematic prevention, continuous development, close cooperation with parents and teachers, as well as shared responsibility of all participants in the educational process for the safety of children and their future.
