The Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs hosted a training seminar for course supervisors from higher education institutions with specific study conditions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, as well as from higher military educational institutions of the National Guard of Ukraine.
At the beginning of the event, Oleksandr Tarasenko, Director of the Department of Education, Science, and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, addressed those present, noting: “A modern course supervisor at a higher education institution within the Ministry of Internal Affairs system must combine professional competence with a solid grounding in the history of Ukraine, pedagogy, and psychology. It is also important to maintain a high level of physical fitness, as a mentor’s personal example is a key factor in shaping future officers—officers who are conscientious, professional, and responsible.
During the training, the participants practiced developing emotional resilience and intelligence under martial law, honed their conflict management and mediation skills, and developed algorithms for psychological first aid, as well as principles of military leadership, traditions, ceremonial practices, and the issues regarding the formation of civic consciousness.
Following the final assessment, the course supervisors received certificates confirming their training completion.
The event was organized by the Department of Education, Science, and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, in cooperation with the relevant units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, and the National Guard of Ukraine.
