In anticipation of the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, Valerii Kosse, Dean of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine (DonSUIA), Police Lieutenant Colonel, together with Professor Renat Rizhniak, Head of the Department of General Legal Disciplines, organized a large-scale educational and patriotic program for the University’s cadets and students, with active participation of academic staff.
The festive day was highlighted by three engaging venues, each exploring the theme of statehood from a fresh perspective. First the participants took part in a legal-themed quest titled «Independence: Law, State, and Responsibility»—moderated by Luta Suiusanov—which featured stations covering topics ranging from historical foundations to modern information security challenges.
This was followed by a public forum for students and cadets titled «Ukraine’s Independence: 35 Years of Law and Responsibility», moderated by Oleh Turenko. During the event, the young participants formulated «10 Principles of the Future Lawyer/Police Officer of Independent Ukraine».
The program concluded with an interactive event titled «Constitution of Independence: 35 Legal Theses» led by Dmytro Khytrovskyi. The participants cooperated to create a big University information board and a digital board dedicated to the constitutional foundations of Ukrainian statehood.
