To mark Ukraine’s Independence Day, the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs (DonSUIA) hosted a video lecture titled «The Price of Independence», featuring Oleksandr Kopylenko— People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor.
During the meeting, the speaker shared a unique experience of someone who directly participated in the processes of state-building—as a drafter of the Act of Declaration of Independence and the drafts of the Constitution of Ukraine, and whose signature appears on the first page of the Basic Law. The participants also discussed the challenging path of Ukrainian state’s formation and the responsibility of the current generation to preserve it.
