Andrii Fomenko, a lecturer of a cycle of special disciplines at the Mariupol Center for Primary Professional Training “Police Academy”, conducted a training course “Crisis Communication” for the staffers of the “102” service and the dispatch service of the department of organizational – analytical support and operational response of the MONP in the Kirovohrad region. The training used practices developed by the department of extreme and crisis psychology of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs (on a voluntary basis), headed by Andrii Fomenko.
The purpose of the event is to increase stress resistance of the staffers of the specified units and improve their communicative efficiency.
The session consisted of three key blocks: “Stabilization and self-recovery techniques”, “Group reflection on the human factor in working with citizens”, “Methods and techniques in working with common objections from citizens”. Each of them was aimed at solving current challenges that “102” operators face in their professional activities.
Due to practical exercises and discussions, the participants received effective tools to preserve their own emotional resources, improve communication skills, and ensure quality interaction with citizens seeking help.
