A scientific and discussion platform “Humanitarian Policy in Wartime Conditions”, dedicated to the results of the work and key areas of the humanitarian sphere developing in Ukraine was held at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
The participants were welcomed by First Vice-Rector of the DonSUIA, Police Colonel, Candidate of Law, Professor Olena Volobuieva; Representative of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the Kirovohrad region Nadiia Luhova; Deputy Head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration Kateryna Koltunova; First Vice-Rector of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Melitopol State Pedagogical University, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Professor Natalia Hlebova; Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Psychology of Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University, Professor of the Department of Crisis and Clinical Psychology, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Professor Viktoriia Overchuk.


The event participants – scientists, educators, representatives of state authorities, the security and defense sector, and the public sector from different regions of Ukraine – discussed seven key areas: humanitarian security and human rights protection; education, science, and culture as tools for recovery; information policy and countering disinformation; psychological support for veterans; gender aspects of humanitarian policy; the role of the National Police of Ukraine in the formation of a human-centered paradigm; accessibility as a strategic resource in war and post-war periods.

As a result of the work, a resolution was adopted on strengthening legal protection, information security, developing education, psychological rehabilitation of veterans, integrating a gender approach, and strengthening social resilience.



The platform confirmed the importance of interagency cooperation, scientific expertise, and partnership between the state and civil society to effectively address the humanitarian challenges of the war and ensure the post-war recovery of Ukraine.
