To mark Ukrainian Statehood Day, a series of educational events took place at Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
Vadym Zadunaiskyi, Doctor of Historical Sciences and Professor in the Department of History at the Faculty of Humanities of the Ukrainian Catholic University, delivered a video lecture in which he outlined the key stages in the development of Ukrainian statehood in the 20th century, focusing on the events that proved decisive for the development of the Ukrainian nation and the establishment of an independent Ukraine.
University students watched the documentary film «The History of Ukrainian Statehood», which traces the centuries-long journey of Ukrainian state-building from Kievan Rus’ to the present day, after which they discussed the historical significance of these events and their impact on the formation of national consciousness.
At the Central Ukrainian Regional Museum of Local History, the cadets took part in a themed discussion entitled «The History of Statehood Written in the Flames». Vladimir Moroz, a senior research fellow at the museum, spoke about the history of Ukrainian statehood and the struggle for independence, and presented the exhibition «Ukraine: The Flames of War», created using artefacts from the current Russian-Ukrainian war.
