An all-Ukrainian training for representatives of youth advisory bodies aiming at make effective decisions to restore the country gathered initiative young people from 12 regions of Ukraine to instruct them how to effectively restore and develop their communities during the war. The event was attended by Volodymyr Klymenko, a cadet of the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation units of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, who is a member of the Youth Council of the Kirovohrad region.
The main aim of the training is to intensify the involvement of young people in decision-making processes by training representatives of youth advisory bodies.
The organizers and trainers prepared an intensive training program: they familiarized those present with successful practices of cooperation between local self-government bodies and the Youth Council, state administrative bodies and civil society institutions; provided a methodological and practical basis for initiative groups. The participants discussed promotion of youth policy, advocacy and cooperation of youth councils with local self-governments. 25 boys and girls received certificates of training.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine in partnership with the Department of Youth, Physical Culture and Sports of the Poltava Regional State Administration, the Memorandum of Youth Councils within the framework of the National Strategy for creation of a barrier-free space in Ukraine, which is being implemented at the initiative of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.
The knowledge and practical cases gained by the participants will become an effective tool in the implementation of state policy in the regions, will help to involve young people in decision-making processes in communities, expand the partnership and cooperation between the representatives of youth consultative and advisory bodies of regional and local levels from different regions of Ukraine for the implementation of joint initiatives and exchange of experience.
