The Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs continues systematic work with veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war, aimed at physical recovery, psychological support, and improving the quality of life.
This week, head of the Department of Special Physical Training, Ihor Shostak, organized training in swimming – one of the most effective and safe types of physical activity in the course of rehabilitation. During the training, participants worked on movement technique, coordination, and breathing control.
At the same time assistant of the department Vladyslav Dychenko conducted individual physical therapy classes with seriously injured soldiers in one of the medical institutions of Kropyvnytskyi. The rehabilitation program is aimed at restoring mobility of the upper limbs and includes special exercises with the help of auxiliary equipment.
Specialists of the DonSUIA admit that regular physical therapy significantly speeds up the recovery process and helps veterans return to active life.
