The head of the organization research department, Hanna Buha, and senior inspector of the international cooperation unit, Yevheniia Drahomirova, joined a group of students of the summer school as part of the implementation of the “Universities – Communities: Strengthening Cooperation” project (Erasmus+ KA2 101083077- UNICOM- ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE).
As part of project teams, they participated in interactive trainings suggested by Italian partners dedicated to the social unity of academics and the community. They studied the University experience of the implementation and assessment of the third mission of the University of Genoa, which was presented by professors Marco Invernizzi and Michaela Rossi. They discussed the issue of strengthening social unity and disclosing the potential of sustainable development of communities and Universities.
Project leader Diana Spulber acted as a moderator of the event.
During the panel discussion “Intercultural dialogue, broad inclusion and involvement of communities”, representatives of DonSUIA using the example of Italian and Ukrainian Universities identified modern values of the EU, and diversity of community development, which influence the activities of higher education institutions.
According to the results of the five-day work, the students of the summer school received new working tools based on the best European practices in the field of implementing social unity and intercultural dialogue to intensify the interaction between Universities and the community.
The project group of DonSUIA has started to investigate the current state of implementation of the University’s third mission.
