Issues of ensuring integrity and preventing violations during the admission campaign were the focus of a recent joint working meeting at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs (DonSUIA). The meeting was held with the participation of the leadership of the Kirovohrad Department of Internal Security of the National Police of Ukraine, members of the higher education institution’s admissions committee, and representatives of the commissions organizing the admission campaign.
On behalf of the University’s Rector, Police Colonel Serhii Vitvitskyi, Major of Police Yehor Nazymko, First Vice-Rector of the DonSUIA, addressed the attendees. He emphasized that effective cooperation with the Internal Security Department (ISD) contributes to countering violations during the admission campaign, and that transparent selection of candidates and the establishment of high standards of professional ethics from the very beginning of service are essential for working in the National Police of Ukraine.
The event was attended by the Head of the Kirovohrad Department of the ISD of the National Police of Ukraine, Police Colonel Ihor Matviichuk, his deputy, Police Colonel Kostiantyn Levchenko, and the Head of the Anti-Corruption Department of the Kirovohrad Department, Police Captain Oleksandr Pashkov.
The importance of properly organizing the admission campaign under martial law was emphasized by Colonel Ihor Matviychuk, head of the Kirovohrad Department of the ISD of the National Police of Ukraine. He also reminded everyone of the criminal, administrative, and disciplinary liability for violating anti-corruption legislation.
Participants discussed the results of anti-corruption control measures implemented in 2024, outlined risks for 2025, particularly regarding the assessment of internal audits, and reviewed mechanisms for ISD representatives to access information resources and premises, as well as their participation in real-time monitoring of processes.
Following the meeting, a decision was made to continue joint anti-corruption measures with the involvement of representatives of the ISD of the National Police of Ukraine, especially during the 2025 admission campaign.
The event was organized in accordance with the Methodological Recommendations on Organizing Interaction between Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the ISD of the National Police of Ukraine.
