The Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs discussed the creation of a permanent career guidance platform “DonSUIA_space4partners”. Its goal is the development of higher education in the region and training specialists in the fields of law, law enforcement, economics, management, and psychology.
Rector of the University Serhii Vitvitskyi welcomed the University guests and wished them fruitful cooperation: “For the DonSUIA, the Kirovohrad Region has become a place of opportunity to move forward and constantly develop in different areas. With the support of the regional administration and the community, we confidently look into the future, we have many ambitious plans for joint implementation.” The meeting took place within the framework of the regional career guidance project of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration “I want to study here”.
“The relocation of the DonSUIA to the Kirovohrad Region became a catalyst for raising the level of general educational communication in the region. The University activities, its career guidance work in particular, can be taken as a basis. This year as compared to the previous one, the Kirovohrad region had 2,000 more applicants from different regions of Ukraine. And 60 percent of them entered your University. The implementation of the project “I want to study here” and the creation of the platform “DonSUIA_space4partners” will help educational institutions to communicate on current issues, problems and the opportunities to involve young people,” said the deputy head of the Kirovohrad RMA Kateryna Koltunova.
The event was attended by: director of Education and Science department of the Kirovohrad RMA Elza Leshchenko, director of “Kropivnytskyi engineering college a separate structural unit of the Central Ukrainian National Technical University” Mykola Storozhuk and his deputy Oleksandr Vivsiany, acting director of the Kirovohrad cooperative college of Economics and Law named after M.P. Say, Viacheslav Budkevych and his deputy – head of the Kirovohrad regional branch of the NGO “IDP of Ukraine” Andriy Kurian, аcting director of the Kropyvnytskyi agrarian vocational college Inna Novikova and methodist Iryna Udod, as well as the representatives of other institutions of higher, professional, vocational and technical education.
The developed innovative pilot platform “DonSUIA_space4partners” – was presented in detail by the head of a career guidance department, Halyna Izotova.
Educators actively participated in the panel discussion “Higher education is a significant contribution to the economy of the Kirovohrad region.”
“This event was very useful for the representatives of vocational and pre-higher education. After all, we train specialists who may potentially become the DonSUIA higher education seeker. We take your experience and are ready for close cooperation for the implementation of new ideas in the field of professional training of specialists in different areas”, – said the deputy director of the Kirovograd cooperative vocational college of Economics and Law named after M. P. Say Andrii Kur’ian.
