On the occasion of Vyshyvanka Day, a creative meeting of students with Honored Master of Folk Art of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine Larysa Zorina took place at the Mariupol Center for Primary Professional Training «Police Academy» of the DonSUIA.
The famous embroiderer presented her own original paintings and shared the stories of their creation. During the conversation, the police officers learned about the meaning of Ukrainian ornaments, traditions of needlework and the role of folk art in preserving our culture.
A special part of the event was a practical master class, during which, under the guidance of the master, the students learned basic embroidery techniques and tried to create patterns on their own, according to Ukrainian authentic traditions.
