The State University of Trade and Economics in Kyiv hosted a conference of representatives from law schools and research institutions, which was attended by representatives from the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
Professor Iryna Sopilko, Doctor of Law and professor in the Department of State and Legal Disciplines, and Professor Yevhen Zozulia, Doctor of Law and professor in the Department of State and Legal Disciplines, participated in the conference.
The event was held to ensure the proper conduct of the selection process for a candidate for the position of member of the High Council of Justice and compliance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine «On the High Council of Justice. »
As a result of the congress, Oleksandr Zhitny, Head of the Department of Criminal Law at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, was elected as a member of the High Council of Justice under the quota for representatives of higher education institutions.
The participation of Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs representatives in the congress demonstrated the university’s active engagement with the professional and academic community in the field of law.
