Scientific Secretary of the Academic Council Secretariat, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Olha Kuzmenko joined the work of the International Forum on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which took place at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
The key speakers at the forum included: – UNESCO senior management: Director-General Mr. Khaled El-Enani and Assistant Director-General for Natural Sciences Ms. Lydiia Brito;
– government sector: Minister Delegate for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Affairs of France, Ms. Anne Le Enanff;
– scientific elite: laureate of the prestigious L’Oréal-UNESCO Prize for Women in Science 2025, Professor Priscilla Baker (South Africa);
– Innovators and Strategists: Leading Strategist from the UK Sarah de Lagarde and President of the Femmes@Numérique Foundation Elisabeth Moreno;
– Technology Leaders: Lenovo CEO Ms. Sophie Thibault and Co-Founder of Women in AI – Moujan Asgari.
The event, titled «From Vision to Impact: Rethinking STEM by Bridging the Gender Gap», became a platform for moving from declarations to real technological and structural changes in global science.
The event, organized in collaboration with Femmes@Numérique as part of their conference Assises de la féminisation des métiers et filières du numérique, is dedicated, in particular, to the use of new and emerging technologies in the STEM field and their impact on gender inequality.
Professor Olha Kuzmenko joined the discussions on the challenges of digitalization and security. The roundtables discussed inclusive research in healthcare, the role of women in technology development, cybersecurity and digital trust, as well as the transformation of education and women’s leadership in STEM.
The DonSUIA participation in UNESCO-level events confirms the University’s readiness to implement global STEM education standards, develop cybersecurity and digital technologies.
