The Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs has become the center of intellectual discussions: the other day the final stage of the city contest of scientific papers on «Gender Issues in Law, Social and Human Sciences» among higher education seekers of Kropyvnytskyi took place there.
Representatives of the city’s leading higher education institutions participated in the contest. Among them the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, the Central Ukrainian National Technical University, the Volodymyr Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State University, and the State Flight Academy of Ukraine.
The contestants’ research covered a wide range of topical issues: from the transformation of the image of women in wartime (from being a «protector» to being a «warrior») to the problems of men’s self-realization under the pressure of social expectations. Special emphasis was laid on implementing gender policy in the security and defense sector, which is critically important for building modern law enforcement institutions.

Based on the results of the review and public defense of the works, the contest committee determined the best researchers:
1st place was won by Olha Senychak (DonSUIA);
2nd place was given to Alisa Nozhnova (TSNTU)and Ihnat Shylo (DonSUIA);
3rd place was occupied by Artem Bondarenko (DonSUIA), Pavlo Horbunov (DonSUIA), Vladyslav Luzan (DonSUIA), Daryna Skrypnyk (TSU), Artem Pylypchynets (DonSUIA).

The DonSUIA dean of the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation bodies of the National Police of Ukraine, Valerii Kosse, addressed the participants, noting: «Today’s contest demonstrated that the youth of Kropyvnytskyi not only possess the methodology of scientific analysis, but also keenly feel the social challenges of our time».

The awards and experience received became an incentive for young scientists to gain new achievements, and for the DonSUIA – another confirmation of its role as the leading center of intellectual development.
