Representatives of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs participated in an online lecture on the topic «Peculiarities of professional communication with wounded servicemen, persons released from captivity, and members of their families», organized by the Department of Psychological Support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The event was attended by Anton Doroshenko, rector’s assistant for work with DonSUIA veterans, Oleksandra Kharchenko, leading psychologist of the psychological support unit of the University’s human resources department, and Volodymyr Halimskyi, associate professor of the department of special physical training.
During the lecture, the participants examined in detail the key principles of ethical and sensitive interaction, as well as discussed the psychological aspects of communicating with people who have traumatic experiences of war or captivity.
The University specialists received practical recommendations based on empathy, deep respect for the individual, and strict adherence to confidentiality.
The acquired knowledge and skills will help the DonSUIA team respond more effectively to current challenges and improve the quality of support for military personnel and their family members.
