125 law enforcement officers from 23 regions of Ukraine began their training in specialization “Community Police Officers” at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, with the assistance of the Preventive Activities Department of the National Police of Ukraine.
“Training community police officers is an investment in security and trust of the society. Our university is proud to be involved in the formation of a new generation of police officers for the whole of Ukraine,” emphasized the DonSUIA rector, police colonel Serhii Vitvitskyi.
Head of the Main Office of the National Police in the Kirovohrad Region, police colonel Andrii Dubrova, and head of the Interaction with Communities unit of the department of Preventive Activities of the National Police of Ukraine, police major Maiia Breslavska congratulated those who came to study with the beginning of a new stage of their professional development.
In the course of 75 days, police officers will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to work effectively in communities, including jurisprudence, administrative and criminal law, as well as modern approaches to law enforcement.
Certified tactical medicine trainers will conduct practical pre-medical training classes for community police officers using special dummies.
The community police officer training program has already proven its efficiency in many regions of Ukraine, so the new intake of officers is another step towards secure living conditions for every citizen.
