The last in this academic year, meeting of a discussion club “COMMUNITY POLICING AND ILP (INTELLIGENCE LED POLICING)” was held at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
The speaker was Jan Raivin (Denmark), a community policing advisor/trainer and a representative of the European Union Advisory Mission. He shared his own experience and talked about the intelligence and analytical activities of police in his country.
The participants discussed the principles and responsibilities of community policing, identified the main characteristics, meaning, concept, methodology, technology, and mechanisms of intelligence and analytical activities.
Working in groups, the cadets examined voice, digital and paper sources, discussed possible ways and stages of the investigation. At the end of the meeting, head of foreign languages department, Yaroslav Chernionkov, summed up the results of the DonSUIA discussion club work for the 2024-2025 academic year and told about its plans for the future.
