On the basis of the Integrity Education Training Center of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, a short-term advanced training program on the theme «Personal Data Protection» was held for employees of the Regional Service Centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
The speaker of the event was Olha Lunhol, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Operational and Investigative Activities and Information Security of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units named after E.O. Didorenko.
As part of the program, the participants studied international data protection standards, in particular the provisions of the GDPR and the Council of Europe Convention. They also familiarized with the updated national legislation and departmental regulations in the Ministry of Internal Affairs system
During the training, particular attention was paid to legal framework for personal data processing, liability for legal violations, practical aspects of cyber hygiene, working with databases and information resources, processing requests for public information, and responding to information security incidents.
The event contributed to developing practical competencies of civil servants, enhancing their professional training, and ensuring proper performance of their official duties in accordance with the principles of legality, openness, and integrity.
