A regular meeting of the Academic Council of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs was held on June 24.
Its work began with consideration of scientific and organizational issues. In particular, the report of head of the department for the organization of scientific activity of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor Hanna Buha “On of the implementation of research and editorial work plans of the University for the first semester of 2026” was considered and discussed.
Special attention was paid to the issues of career guidance work and ensuring competitive admission of applicants. Head of the unit for organizing work on career guidance of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work of the Donetsk State Internal Affairs Department, police colonel Halyna Izotova, informed about the efficiency of career guidance activities to ensure competitive admission of applicants to the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs in the 2025/2026 academic year.
The next item on the agenda was the issue of planning the educational process for the next academic year. Head of the Department of Organizing the Educational Process of the DonSUIA, Doctor of Philosophy Artur Voloboiev, reported on the preliminary distribution of the educational workload of scientific and pedagogical staff of the University departments for the 2026/2027 academic year.
In addition, during the meeting, a number of important personnel, organizational and regulatory issues related to the activities of the University were considered. In particular, the issue of awarding the academic title of “associate professor” at the Department of Administrative and Legal Disciplines; defining the candidates from among the cadets who have achieved significant success in their studies and/or scientific activities and have exemplary discipline for the award of an academic scholarship of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine; formation of one-time specialized academic councils for the defense of dissertations; change of the dissertation theme for obtaining the degree of Doctor of Law; consideration and approval of amendments to the Regulations of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs; approval of the educational process schedules of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs for the 2026/2027 academic year and On approving the Regulations regarding the forms for higher education documents at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs; recognition of the advanced training results of the DonSUIA scientific and pedagogical staffers, certain types of their activities as advanced training in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated August 21, 2019 No. 800 «Some issues of advanced training of pedagogical and scientific staffers»; the cost of educational services for higher education applicants of the 2026 intake and the cost of educational services in the 2026/2027 academic year for higher education applicants of the 2023, 2024, 2025 intake considering the inflation index of 2025.
Based on the results of the agenda items consideration, the Academic Council made a decision on the recommendation for publication of a number of scientific, educational and methodological works. The recommendation for the following publications was unanimously approved: the textbook «Deontological Fundamentals of Law Enforcement Activities» (authors: O. Kurakin, A. Rybalkin); the monograph «Administrative and Legal Principles of the Activities of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine» (author: D. O. Yandovych); scientific and practical recommendations «Specifics of Bringing to Responsibility for Committing Administrative Offenses that Encroach on the Established Procedure for Management» (authors: O. Yu. Makarenko, G. O. Konarieva, E. E. Morozov); scientific and practical recommendations «Public administration in achieving sustainable development: regional aspect» (authors: Bulhakova O. V., Frosiniak R. V., Pastushenko V. A.); methodological recommendations «The procedure for the detention and delivery by the police of persons who have committed violations of mobilization legislation» (a group of authors); practicum «The procedure for the detention and delivery by the police of persons who have committed violations of mobilization legislation» (a group of authors); collection of materials of the All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference «National Police of Ukraine in the formation of a security environment: science, practice, innovations» (Kropyvnytskyi, May 22, 2026); collection of materials of the All-Ukrainian Student Scientific Forum «Youth and Science – 2026: Modern Challenges and Prospects» (Kropyvnytskyi, May 28, 2026).

The decisions adopted during the meeting are aimed at further development of the University’s scientific, educational and organizational activities, as well as at improving internal processes and ensuring high-quality training of future specialists.
