The European Union Information Center at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, with the assistance of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, held a panel discussion «Mechanism of joint action between the police and business in the field of combating crime: European choice».
During the meeting, the participants discussed modern mechanisms of interaction between the police, business and the public in the field of combating crime, European approaches to security partnership, as well as the role of media in shaping the legal culture of society. Particular attention was paid to the prospects for the development of effective inter-sectoral cooperation in the context of Ukraine’s European integration course.
The following participated in the discussion: Deputy Head of the Main Office of the National Police in the Kirovohrad region, Police Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Sahal; Deputy Head of the Police Department the Main Office of the National Police in the Kirovohrad region Valerii Palii; Director of the Department of Economic Development and Trade of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration Svitlana Solomakha; Editor-in-Chief of the information publication «Dostup.Media» Olha Zyma; Deputy of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council of the eighth convocation, President of the Kirovohrad Regional Pankration Federation of Ukraine, Head of the Council of Public Associations of National Minorities (Communities) of Ukraine under the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience Tihran Khachatrian.
The event was moderated by head of a research laboratory on the problems of preventing criminal offenses of the Educational and Scientific Institute for Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units named after E.O. Didorenko of the DonSUIA, Doctor of Law, Senior Researcher Tetiana Ponomareva.
