Future service in the police requires not only excellent theoretical knowledge, but also instant reaction, iron endurance and practical skills. That is why a series of practice-oriented tactical exercises «TACTICAL RESPONSE – 2026: police actions in high-risk conditions» was held for cadets of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs within the framework of studying the discipline «Tactical and special training and personal security of a police officer».
The mentors and trainers of the event were soldiers of the RAC special unit of the Main Office of the National Police in the Kirovohrad region.
During the training, the cadets improved their tactical movement skills in small groups, practiced actions when contacting an armed offender, they also practiced the procedure for entering and clearing premises, the distribution of sectors of responsibility and interaction according to the «contact-cover» principle.
The participants also worked on threat assessment, tactical communication, actions in a confined space, decision-making under stressful conditions, and detention of armed individuals, evacuation of victims, as well as actions during hostages’ release.
