Consistent development of science, improvement of educational process and support for professional achievements of the staff became key topics of the meeting of the University Academic Council.

First of all, those present listened to and discussed the report of Head of the University Communications Department, Valeriia Zhuravliova, «On Covering the Activities of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs on Internet Resources and in the Media: Analysis and Prospects», which outlined the main approaches to forming an effective communication strategy of the institution.
After that , members of the Academic Council considered a number of issues: on awarding the academic title of «professor» at the Department of State and Legal Disciplines; approving candidates from among the University staffers and higher education seekers to be rewarded: for the staffer – with a badge «For a significant contribution to the development of the University», a valuable gift and a photo on the Board of Honor; for the higher education seekers – with a photo on the Board of Honor; certifying scientific work of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine scholarship holder; approving the cost of paid services provided by the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs; considering and approving the Regulations of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs; suspending the term of assignment a DonSUIA applicant outside the postgraduate program in specialty 081 to the Department of General Legal Disciplines. The right to her mobilization and assignment of another scientific supervisor, to a postgraduate student of the Department of Operational and Investigative Activities and Information Security of the DonSUIA; considering and approving the candidacy of Head of the Main Office of the National Police in the Kirovohrad region to be the member of the Academic Council of the DonSUIA as a representative of stakeholders.
The logical conclusion of the meeting was a unanimous approval of a decision to recommend for publication a number of scientific and scientific-practical works. In particular, the scientific journal «Central Ukrainian Journal of Law and Public Management», Issue 1(13), 2026, was recommended for publication; the monograph «Public Administration of Medical Provision of Transport Safety: Administrative and Legal Aspect» (authors: S. S. Vitvitskyi, Yu. O. Chornyi); reference and information publication «Research activities of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs: results for 2025»; historical and journalistic publication «The Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs: 65 years of success», 2026; as well as a collection of materials of the IX All-Ukrainian scientific and practical cadet (student) conference in foreign languages «Law enforcement agencies in protection of law, order and constitutional freedoms in conditions of peace and martial law» (Kropyvnytskyi, February 27, 2026).

The decisions made by the Academic Council became another step in strengthening scientific potential, developing effective communication strategy, and recognizing the professional achievements of the DonSUIA team.
