The «Legal Protection» clinic of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs held an educational and practical event «The Right to Security: Steps to Protection» for first-year students of the specialty «Law Enforcement Activities».
The event program was based on an in-depth analysis of national legislation in the field of combating domestic and gender-based violence. Students analyzed the powers of authorized bodies and specialized support services in detail, and also independently developed algorithms of actions to protect victims, relying on the existing legal mechanisms and international standards.
The meeting helped future law enforcement officers understand how important law is as a tool for ensuring human dignity, security and non-discrimination in modern society.
