A two-day training on the topic “Cyber Resilience through Cross-Border Preparedness, Incident Response and Recovery in Law Enforcement Agencies” was held at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs in cooperation with the European Union Advisory Mission to Ukraine.

The speakers of the training were EUAM experts and international specialists: Senior Cybersecurity Advisor of EUAM Ukraine Drahosh Dima, representative of Romanian Euro-Atlantic Resilience Center Gabriela Matei, Ionut Hlavan, a police officer from the National Cybersecurity Department and Countering Organized Crime Directorate of General Inspectorate of Romanian Police, as well as experts from the Romanian National Cybersecurity Directorate DNSC-RO, Mihai Marika and Marius Duta.


The training program covered a number of relevant topics: Cyber Resilience through preparedness, incident response, and recovery; investigation of cyberattacks, including ransomware attacks; introduction to the Cyber Kill Chain framework for threat detection and analysis; applying OSINT (open source intelligence) in cybercrime investigations; using cybersecurity tools to check spam, suspicious files, domains, and IP address.
At the end of the course, the participants received certificates.
Cooperation between the DonSUIA and EUAM contributes to the implementation of European experience and increasing cyber resilience of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies.
