The Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs hosted the Memorial Mini-Football Cup in honor of Denys Myronov, organized by the Department of Special Physical Training at the initiative of the cadet and student self-government.

The serviceman studied at the DonSUIA and dedicated his life to serving the Motherland. In 2014 after the war began, he defended Ukraine – first in the ATO zone, and later in the ranks of the Special Operations Forces. In 2021, the Hero tragically perished, leaving behind an example of true devotion, courage, and love for his country.

During the event, the Hero’s father, Yurii Myronov, a senior lecturer at the Department of Special Physical Training of the DonSUIA, addressed the participants. He thanked the organizers for preserving the memory of his son and wished the young men to be worthy defenders of Ukraine.
The competition brought together four University teams, and the victory was won by cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies. The winners and prize-winners received cups and awards from the “Zakhysnyk” sports club.
The Memorial Cup became a symbol of honor to the DonSUIA graduate, who, with his life and service, embodied true dedication to his profession, courage, and honor of a Ukrainian police officer.
