On November 15, the DonSUIA presented an ongoing project on the issues of the quality of the University educational process “Edu_DonSUIA_Campus: partnership and responsibility of stakeholders in police training”.
Its purpose is the formation of meaningful educational components – compulsory and optional- to ensure rapid adaptation of graduates to practical activities.
The event was opened by the rector of the University, police colonel Serhii Vitvitskyi. He emphasized active cooperation of the University with practical units of the National Police of Ukraine: “The best indicator of activity of the University administrative and teaching staff is its graduates. We strive for your units to receive specialists who are best prepared for today’s conditions. For this, we need the opinions and advice of experienced practitioners.”
The meeting was attended by: heads of the National Police Service in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia regions and the representatives of relevant specialized departments: the investigative department, the preventive activity department, the criminal investigation department, representatives of specialized units that are stakeholders of the University and also representatives of the scientific and pedagogical staff of the DonSUIA.
The vice-rector of the University, police colonel Olena Volobuieva, presented the project and talked about the stages of its implementation, the results of monitoring the quality of the University educational program, the introduction of measures to ensure the practical component of the educational process and the rapid adaptation of graduates to practical activities, the development of additional measures to ensure the quality of educational activities at the DonSUIA.
The Deputy Chief of the Head Office of the National Police in the Donetsk Region, Police Colonel Serhii Beseda noted that police of the Donetsk region is currently understaffed. Therefore, the need for new personnel with a significant amount of theoretical and practical knowledge is quite urgent.
The participants of the meeting took part in an active dialogue, during which they made proposals regarding the development of new cases and other educational developments for the sake of quality training of a modern law enforcement officer.
