During two webinars, the cadets got acquainted with the features of personnel resources management in Romania and Sweden.
The webinar speaker ‘s were the EUAM international experts among whom were police officers from Luxemburg, Romania, Sweden.
During the first webinar, the system of personnel resources management and some practices of Romanian police were discussed.
The speakers determined, the staff is the main resource of organisation. Abraham Maslow`s table of needs and its importance for the human being was reviewed. Moreover, they paid attention to such terms as – `staff`, `personal resources` and `human capital`. The terms `personnel management` and `human resource management` were distinguished.
They answered the questions: What is the peculiarity of planning the number of personnel and what does it affect? How is training and development important in professional activity?
Five main elements of work effectiveness management such as agreement, measurement, feedback, positive reinforcement and dialogue were considered. They paid attention to the human resource management information system (HRMIS), its components and the role of professional HR as a business-partner.
Speaker Daniel Crintea shared his experience, he told about Romanian police activity.
During the second webinar management and practical activity of Sweden police were considered. The cadets had the ability not only to listen to the information and to ask questions but also with the help of interactive technology the cadets took part in the webinar, enhancing the level of assimilation of the material with this.
The speakers discussed the levels of management and leadership styles, competences and leader`s qualities. The terms `manager` and ‘leader` were differentiated.
