A culinary master class “The Taste of Traditions is the Power of Unity” was held at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs with the participation of servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine and police officers undergoing treatment after injuries received in the combat zone. The event was organized by the DonSUIA in cooperation with the Sector of Social Protection and Support for Victims and Their Family Members of the State Institution “Territorial Medical Assciation” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Kirovohrad Region”.
On behalf of the DonSUIA rector, Serhii Vitvitskyi, the participants were greeted by the University vice-rector, Ruslan Vradii: “It is a great honor for us to welcome you at our University. Today we have gathered to emphasize once again: you are true heroes of our time, on whose example future generations of defenders and law enforcement officers are being raised. Together we bring victory closer, together we create the history of our state.”
The event’s peculiarity was joint preparation of dumplings – a symbol of Ukrainian hospitality and family comfort. The participants took an active part in rolling out the dough, shaping the dumplings, and exchanging culinary tips and jokes. The atmosphere of friendly communication contributed to mutual support and creation of a sense of true brotherhood.
The final stage of the meeting was a feast of homemade dishes. During it the military shared with the cadets their memories of the service and their reflections on the importance of peace and unity, which are the basis of the invincibility of the people of Ukraine
