To the 65th anniversary of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs and within the framework of the All-Ukrainian event «STEM-Spring 2026», the IV International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference «Current Aspects of the Development of STEAM Education in the Context of European Integration» was held.

This year’s forum brought together over 450 participants from 270 educational and scientific institutions of Ukraine, as well as leading institutions in Austria, Poland, Latvia, Slovakia, Israel and representatives of international scientific organizations.

Opening the conference, the University Rector, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Serhii Vitvitskyi addressed the participants with a welcome speech. He emphasized the importance of developing STEAM education as a key factor in modernization of the educational system of Ukraine and its integration into the European educational space.
Leading scientists and educators from Ukraine and abroad also welcomed those present. In particular: President of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine, Academician of the NAPS of Ukraine, Academician of the European Academy of Sciences, Arts and Literature Stanislav Dovgyi; Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the National Center “Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine”, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientist and Technologist of Ukraine Oleksandr Stryzhak; Deputy Director for Scientific and Experimental Work of the Institute for Digitalization of Education of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Researcher Olha Pinchuk; Deputy Director of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Tetiana Zasiekina; Professor of the Department of Theory of Education and School Pedagogy of the University of Opole, the Republic of Poland, Doctor of Habilitation Fabian Andrushkevych; Director of the Central Ukrainian Scientific Lyceum of the Kirovohrad Regional Council, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Nelia Mazur; Specialist of the Department of International Relations of the Academy of Social Sciences, expert in adult education, NGO facilitator, Executive MBA, International Officer at Academy of Social Sciences, expert in adult education and NGO facilitator Joanna Skyba.

During the discussions, special attention was paid to practical implementation of STEAM technologies in professional training of specialists. The participants discussed the prospects for using unmanned systems, analytical tools, ontological modeling and immersive educational environments as a basis for innovative learning.

Summing up, the organizers noted that such scientific forums play an important role in shaping a modern environment capable of providing high-quality education and meeting the challenges of the time.
