At the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, a meeting of its cadets with executive director of the public organization “Territory of Success”, representative of the Kirovohrad region Coalition 1325 Secretariat, Inha Dudnik, took place.

Inha Dudnik spoke about the history of the Resolution 1325 adoption, its key provisions and significance for Ukraine in times of war She emphasized that. the document recognizes an important role of women in conflict prevention, peacebuilding, reconstruction and developing a safe society. The resolution also calls on states to ensure women’s participation in decision-making at all levels, protect the rights of those affected by conflicts, and develop gender sensitivity in the security and defense sector.

During the event, Kateryna Voievoda emphasized that the DonSUIA pays special attention to developing in law enforcement officers an understanding of gender policy importance in the course of building a democratic society.

The higher education seekers actively participated in the discussion, asked questions about practical implementation of the principles of Resolution 1325 in police activities, and discussed the importance of the gender approach in strengthening peace and trust in the community.
