Representatives of the «Partnership for Strong Ukraine» Foundation Mykhailo Chernov and Anton Kharkovets visited the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
During the working meeting, the DonSUIA rector, Serhii Vitvitskyi, vice-rectors Serhii Hermanov and Olena Volobuieva, as well as head of the international cooperation unit, Viktoriia Moskalenko, discussed with the guests the possibilities of expanding partnership relations between the University and the Foundation.
In particular, they considered issues related to supporting training programs, providing resources for training specialists in the field of internal affairs, and implementing joint initiatives aimed at increasing the efficiency of law enforcement bodies.
The «Partnership for Strong Ukraine» Foundation is financed by the governments of the United Kingdom, Estonia, Canada, the Netherlands, the Kingdom of Norway, the United States of America, Finland, Switzerland and Sweden. With the support of Ukrainian government and partner governments, it implements projects aimed at strengthening the resilience of our state against Russian aggression, in de-occupied and frontline territories in particular.
The goal of the activity is to strengthen the ability of Ukrainian government to provide critical support to local communities in cooperation with civil society, the media, and the private sector. Over the past two years, the PSUF has actively supported the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police of Ukraine, providing vehicles, equipment, communications, unmanned systems, IT equipment, training equipment, etc.
Serhii Vitvitskyi emphasized the importance of developing such partnerships for the University in order to train qualified specialists who can work effectively in conditions of modern challenges.
The meeting became an important step in the development of international cooperation of the DonSUIA and opened up new prospects for the implementation of joint projects to strengthen security and stability in Ukraine.
