Christmas spirit is not only about the comfort of homes, but also about the unity that makes us invincible. The other day, the streets of Kropyvnytskyi shone with lights and were filled with the polyphonic singing of carols: the charity event «Carol of Light and Hope» took place here, The participants were cadets and students of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, who united to support Ukrainian defenders.
The festive procession passed through central streets of the city, filling them with carols, the warmth of lanterns and sincere wishes for peace and Victory. Together with the community, the DonSUIA higher education seekers joined in raising funds to purchase a charging station for air defense units, realizing the importance of even the smallest contribution to strengthening the state’s defense capabilities.
The culmination of the action was a symbolic event on Theater Square. Here, a Christmas table of 12 traditional dishes was laid – as a sign of memory and deep respect for the fallen Defenders of Ukraine. In a joint prayer, the participants also remembered those who are in captivity or are missing.
The DonSUIA participation in the «Christmas Carol of Light and Hope» campaign once again proved that Christmas traditions can be not only a symbol of unity, but also a powerful tool of charity, memory, and faith in the Victory of Ukraine.
