Rector of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, Serhii Vitvitskyi and the University higher education seekers, took part in the city events on the occasion of the Day of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, which took place on the Heroes of the Maidan Square in the city of Kropyvnytskyi.

The event was also attended by representatives of the Kirovograd Regional Military Administration, people’s deputies of Ukraine, representatives of regional and city authorities, clergy, heads of law enforcement agencies and military formations.

As part of the event, the regional authorities and honored guests placed lit lamps at the memorial plaque to the Hero of Ukraine Viktor Chmilenko and a memorial sign with photos of the fallen Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. Those present honored the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence and performed the National Anthem of Ukraine.


An important part of the memorable event was the World Silent Action «Angels of Memory». The participants hung paper angels on trees as a symbol of purity, bright memory, and gratitude to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
