Within the framework of the memorandum on cooperation with the Institution of the Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs held a meeting of its rector Serhii Vitvitskyi and the representative of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights in the Kirovohrad Region, Halyna Luhova.
The participants of the dialogue discussed conducting joint legal education events, support for relocated cadets, employment of graduates. Halyna Luhova also informed about the initiative of the Office of the Commissioner (Ombudsman of Ukraine) to hold a contest among senior cadets for the best essay on the topic “Ombudsman of Ukraine: protection of human rights during the war”.
In her conversation with higher education seekers she told more about the contest, as well as the activities of the Ombudsman of Ukraine, the core areas of work of the Commissioner’s Office, practical cases and the ways and mechanisms of appeals to the Commissioner.
“The authors of five best essays on the proposed topic will take part in the legal education event, which will take place on December, 4-6 in Kyiv,” Halina Luhova mentioned.
