A line-up of cadets and the staff took place at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, on the occasion of the 1000th day of a full-scale invasion of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine.
The DonSUIA rector, police colonel Serhii Vitvitskyi, addressed the audience: “Ukraine is and remains a unitary state with an unbreakable will. Let us remember at what cost we manage to resist the aggressor in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions now, when it is constantly shelling the Sumy region, the Kherson region, Zaporizhzhia and other Ukrainian cities. Really indomitable people work and study at the DonSUIA. Most of them lost everything, but did not give up. Cadets, it is up to you to restore and protect Ukrainians in the post-war country.”
The University staff and cadets performed the National Anthem of Ukraine and bowed their heads observing the minute of silence in memory of those who died in this terrible war.
The DonSUIA cadets laid flowers at the memorial sign on the University square and at the “Heroes do not die” memorial in the Alley of Glory of the fortress complex.
