Cadets from the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs (DonSUIA)—Vladyslav Pravdenko, Oleksandra Kliuieva, Pylyp Taktashov, and Veronika Kozachok—participated in a three-day summer school focused on prevention and response to domestic violence.

As part of the program, the cadets conducted a detailed analysis of international and national legal regulations and studied European standards for human rights protection. The participants devoted a significant portion of time to practical exercises, simulating real-world challenges and practicing police response procedures—ranging from initial risk assessment to proper documentation of incidents and effective cooperation with other relevant entities.

A separate training module focused on the psychology of conflict and communication with victims, during which the cadets learned to apply an approach centered on the safety and needs of the affected individuals.
The event was organized within the framework of a joint project of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and the National Police of Ukraine titled «Strengthening the Capacity of National Partners to Combat Gender-Based Violence in Ukraine, Including Domestic Violence».
