As part of a partnership with the University of Barcelona, higher education seekers and the academic staff of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs participated in the international webinar «Behind the scenes of Brussels: how lobbying influences EU decision-making».
The speaker of the event was Marta Konovalova, Candidate of Public Administration, Associate Professor of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Visiting Professor of the University of Barcelona. The webinar was coordinated by Olha Tylchyk, Doctor of Law, Visiting Professor of the University of Barcelona.
During the meeting, the participants learned about the peculiarities of the European Union institutions functioning, examined the main tools and practices of lobbying in Brussels, and analyzed the influence of lobby groups on the formation of political and legal decisions at the EU level.
Particular attention was paid to practical examples of interaction between interest representatives and European institutions, which provided an opportunity to better understand decision-making mechanisms in the European Union.
