Deputy Head of the Criminal Analysis Department of the MONP in the Kirovohrad region, Police Major Oleksandr Ovchinnikov, conducted an informational and practical session «On modern approaches to analytical support of operational and investigative activities and the specifics of using criminal analysis in the work of law enforcement agencies» for cadets of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the DonSUIA.
During the meeting, the speaker focused in detail on the basic principles of the criminal analysis unit, in particular on collection, processing and comprehensive analysis of operational information, and explained the algorithm for forming analytical products and their practical significance in police activities.
In addition, the participants learned how the results of analytical work help to detect and document criminal offenses, and how they are used when planning operational and investigative measures and making managerial decisions.
Based on real cases from the practice of law enforcement officers in the Kirovohrad region, Oleksandr Ovchinnikov clearly demonstrated to police officers how modern analytical tools help establish hidden relationships between events, persons, and objects. He noted that the use of such technologies significantly increases the efficiency of information analysis and contributes to the disclosure of complex criminal schemes.
