As part of the All-Ukrainian campaign “16 Days Against Violence” on the basis of the DonSUIA Educational and Scientific Institute for Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units named after E. O. Didorenko, an important interdisciplinary police quest “Interaction of the Criminal Police Officer with the Investigator in Documenting Human Trafficking” was held.
The quest combined theoretical and practical components. Previously, the cadets studied in detail the activities of the Migration Police Department and successfully completed a specialized online course “Combating Human Trafficking in Ukraine. The Impact of War”.
The practical stage was a real test of professionalism. Under the guidance of experienced staffers of the criminal police units of the Main Office of the National Police in the Kirovohrad region, the higher education seekers worked on documenting a criminal group, which took advantage of people’s plight and, using violence, exploited them: from labor slavery to recruiting men to participate in illegal armed groups.
As a result, the cadets successfully practiced a set of critically important skills – from searching for information and collecting evidence to coordinated work as part of an investigative and operational group. Thus, the DonSUIA confirms its mission in training highly qualified specialists ready to effectively confront the most brutal manifestations of modern slavery in wartime conditions.
