Specialists of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs –Acting Head of the general library Yuliia Bahlai and Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the department of Operational Investigative Activities and Information Security Olha Haborets – took part in the two-day 10th anniversary International Conference “University Library at a New Stage of Social Communications Development” (UniLibNSD-2025).
The event brought together leading library professionals from around the world to discuss trends, challenges, and prospects for the university libraries development in the modern digital environment. The theme of the year was: ” Libraries of Higher Education Institutions: Predicted Transformation or Stormy Uncertainty?”
The DonSUIA presented a poster presentation on the topic: “Transformational processes in libraries of higher education institutions in the context of digitalization of education.” The results of the report will be published in an article of the professional international journal “University Library at a New Stage of Social Communication Development”, which confirms a high scientific level and relevance of the research conducted.
“Despite the difficult conditions of wartime and constant threats from the Russian Federation, Ukrainian librarians are actively integrating into the international scientific community, exchanging experience, ideas, and strategic visions for the development of university libraries in Ukraine and the world,” noted Yuliia Bahlai.
The event was organized by the Scientific Library of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology (Ukraine) in partnership with a wide range of international and national institutions, including the Library of the Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), the LAGUNA University Library (Philippines), the Ukrainian Library Association, the European Network of Open Education Librarians, BiSOFT LLC and Identifier (Lithuania).
