First vice-rector of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs Yehor Nazymko took part in the round table “Science in Law Schools of Ukraine: Challenges and Development Priorities”, organized by the Association of Heads of Law Schools of Ukraine.
In his report prepared with the participation of Andrii Zakharchenko, Head of the Research Laboratory of Communities Public Security, Yehor Nazymko informed about the peculiarities of legal regulation of state certification regarding scientific and higher education institutions in terms of conducting scientific activities in the “security” area.
The event was attended by scholars of domestic and foreign law schools, practicing lawyers, post graduate and doctoral students, representatives of state authorities and professional legal public organizations. The participants discussed the issue of assessing the efficiency of law schools within the framework of state certification of higher education institutions, regarding successful foreign practices.
The following issues were also considered: organization of scientific activities of law schools in the context of global challenges and reform of legal education; promotion of young scientists professional growth in order to preserve and develop a scientific potential of domestic law schools; updating approaches to the formation of the List of scientific professional publications in Ukraine.
