At the general meeting of the staff of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, Rector, Police Colonel Serhii Vitvitskyi, presented a report on the results of the University’s work for the 2024-2025 academic year.
“For our University this year has become another stage of development, facing challenges and at the same time consolidation of our strength. We continued to work in conditions of war, but did not suspend any area of our activity. On the contrary, we became even more united, purposeful and self-confident. “We are developing international partnerships, implementing new training technologies, supporting scientific initiatives and volunteer projects. All of this is part of our common goal: to form a strong, educated and patriotic police community capable of protecting Ukraine and serving its citizens,” noted Serhii Vitvitskyi.
During his speech, the rector outlined the main achievements of the higher education institution. Among them are receiving the international Triple E Awards for the “Friendly Support” project, aimed at helping the defenders of Ukraine and wounded police officers; creation of the Veterans Hub and the Center for National and Patriotic Education; implementation of 26 scientific developments into practical activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs units.
Special emphasis was laid on implementation of a large-scale EU project “Support for the Displaced DonSUIA”, which involves modernization of educational buildings, laboratories and dormitories, as well as the opening of the Kryvyi Rih Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education.
An important event was early graduation of 369 bachelors by state order – the biggest in the last decade.
In conclusion, Serhii Vitvitskyi thanked the team for their dedicated work, professionalism, and joint achievements. He emphasized the need for further development of educational and scientific initiatives, maintaining high standards of personnel training, and strengthening the DonSUIA position as one of the leading higher education institutions in the field of security and law enforcement.
