On November 28, higher education seekers of the faculty of training specialists for preventive activity units took part in the information campaign “Domestic violence is not OK!” within the framework of the annual all-Ukrainian action “16 days against violence”, which lasts from November 25 till December 10.
This educational event was organized by police departments of preventive activities and the main inspection of the regional police headquarters, the sector against domestic violence of the Kropyvnytskyi district police department, cadets of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, as well as representatives of the mobile brigade of social and psychological assistance.
During the street action, the participants communicated with local residents, explained how to counteract this phenomenon, talked about the services where victims can contact. Citizens were also reminded of the gesture that saves – an international signal for help in case of domestic violence. It allows the offender to imperceptibly show the other people that you are in danger.
