Senior lecturer of the Department of Special Physical Training of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs Yevhen Kharytonenko held a regular session on adaptive strength training for veterans. The training program is traditionally formed for each defender, considering his needs and health status. That time, the veterans focused on aerobic exercise and strengthening the muscles of the upper shoulder girdle, using crossovers and dumbbells.
Anton, serviceman of the 71st separate airmobile brigade, joined the sports rehabilitation. The man stood up for the defense of the country from the first days of the full-scale invasion. In 2023, during the fierce battles for Bakhmut, he received severe shrapnel wounds, which caused him to lose his sight. The veteran is accompanied by his wife, who is his main support on the path to recovery.

According to Anton, regular physical activity is an effective tool not only for maintaining shape, but also for effective socialization and psychological overcoming of the war consequences.
