Strengthening control over the circulation of weapons is one of the key security challenges for the state, and therefore a strategic priority of the National Police of Ukraine. That is why the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs continues to play the role of a powerful educational platform for the training and development of law enforcement officers.
Police officers from the Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, and Luhansk regions completed a two-day distance learning course organized at the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Correspondence Studies of the DonSUIA.
Within the course, the students systematized and deepened their knowledge in important areas: from application of the Criminal Code norms regarding illegal trafficking of firearms to protection of personal and confidential data in the licensing system. Particular attention was paid to clarifying the limitation of authority and practical aspects of police work in the field of control.
At the end of the course, 21 professional police officers received a certificate, confirming their readiness to perform enhanced strategic tasks in the field of control over the circulation of weapons.
